Camping with a difference…our yurt was initially used as a space for shelter from the elements upon our first permaculture course held at Five Acres. The photos do not do the yurt justice; upon the first permaculture course inside it was so sumptuous and comfortable that every night it seemed a different course participant was enticed to avail themselves of a night inside watching the stars through the yurt roof! The bed of sheepskins and cushions with the stove gently warming the air aiding the whole experience!
Folk since have wanted to hire the yurt for a night or a weekend, so now we offer the yurt as an experience to enable our guests to enjoy first-hand just how luxurious and sexy an ecological approach to life can be. We even have our first wedding ceremony with the yurt as the honeymoon space planned!
